rough machining the gears to obtain high hardness. The hardness of the gear
after heat treatment usually is about HRC60,and some gears has interrupted
turning condition, so it will be difficult to machining, so it is very
important to choose the cutting tools materials. Only choosing the most
suitable cutting tools and the cutting parameters, it will obtain excellent
working efficiency and the gear precision .
If choosing the traditional cutting tools
(such as carbide insert and ceramic insert) hard turning gear, it will often
appear chipping phenomenon, which will affect the working efficiency and
increase the insert costs.
